About Us
The Amarillo Theological Institute (ATI) is an unaccredited institute.
We are not a seminary, and are not seeking to take the place of formal
theological training. However, we offer seminary level courses to further
the education of local pastors, church leaders, and men and women from
all different backgrounds in order to help Christians grow in spiritual
maturity through a deeper understanding of God's Word. Our method of instruction
is to utilize digitized lectures given at Westminster
Theological Seminary, one of the most academically rigorous seminaries
serving the church today. Students will listen to these lectures and will
be given a list of assigned readings to further their understanding of
the subject at hand. Pastor Andrew Moody will be available to guide discussions
and to answer questions. He is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary,
having received the Master of Divinity degree in 2005. Andrew is currently
serving as co-pastor of Christ Covenant
Presbyterian Church (OPC).
It is possible to take courses for credit through the WTS
Dallas campus. In order to do so, you must enroll as a student of
that campus, which requires a bachelor's degree, and you must pay full
tuition, which is currently $370 per credit hour. You can learn more about
the requirements for receiving masters level credit from WTS on their
website: http://www.wts.edu/dallas/txprograms.html
ATI is not formally connected to Westminster Theological Seminary in any
way.
Courses will be taught from a biblically reformed world and life view
that seeks to see everything through the lens of Scripture. Although our
theology is in the tradition of the Protestant Reformation, we have much
to offer to people of all theological traditions who are seeking a more
in-depth understanding of God's Word.
Tuition
Each course at ATI costs $75 per individual and $100 per couple. Full-time
students at other institutions receive a discounted tuition of $50 per
individual and $75 per couple. Tuition fees go to cover material and personnel
expenses and advertising costs. The finances of ATI are all accounted
for through Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church. The Fall 2007 semester
begins on September 20.
